This extraordinary pepper specialty comes from a strictly protected nature reserve in the highlands of the Malabar Coast, located in the state of Kerala in the far south-west of India.
It is grown by farming communities far away from any civilisation. This pristine environment is known for its great biodiversity, in which tigers and elephants also live. The quantities harvested from this traditional pepper plant are very small, but the contents of flavoring and aromatic substances such as essential oils are significantly higher than in most pepper varieties. The pepper is hand-ploughed and sun-dried.
Ingredients: Tiger Malabar Pepper
It is best to always use our tiger pepper freshly ground so that you can fully enjoy its unique, intensely fruity aroma. Our tiger pepper is ideal for roasted meat and fish, for sauces and stews.
