Our basmati rice comes from small farmers from the "Fair Farming Foundation Ramnagar" in India. Their small plots of land are cultivated with the support of the "Uttarakhand Rice Project" according to the so-called "SRI" cultivation method.
This labour-intensive form of rice cultivation brings significantly higher yields and at the same time reduces the emission of climate-damaging greenhouse gases.
Basmati means "scent" in Hindi. Our basmati smells and tastes particularly aromatic.
